I have canvases of over 90 breeds. And yes, they are all Hand Painted by Lindy. >^,,^< The Needlepoint’s are all hand painted clearly in acrylic on 12, 13 or 14 mesh, cotton interlock canvases . The edges are sewn to prevent fraying, while being worked on. An order ONLY includes a painted canvas For your stitching pleasure. >^,,^< Materials and Yarn to Use: If you are new to Needlepoint, please familiarize yourself with this type of stitching. You will find many helpful tutorials on YouTube and other online sites. TRY: http:www.youtube.com/needlepoint . There is also a youtube site for beginners. NOTE: Large craft stores may not carry the materials needed, for a hand painted canvas, but some may have starter kits to learn with. Better yet, find a shop in your area specializing in “Cross Stitch”, “Needlepoint” and other sewing arts. A specialty shop will have the correct yarn (usually called 3-ply needlepoint yarn) as well as provide you with instruction or perhaps even a workshop (a good place to meet folks). Also, ask around your community as there may be a needle pointer out there happy to give you a hand. Yarn and Thread Colors The acrylic paint colors I use, does not correlate to yarns colors. (I also sometimes mix my paints to get a better color) When painting these pictures, I place a small color chart/blotch at the bottom (or side) of every canvas as a guide. A hand painted canvas provides you many options in customizing colors to your own taste. You can change fur or backgrounds colors as you wish to maybe better match your dogs looks. :-) You can also make spot areas larger/smaller, add/remove to match your baby. Any folds are easily ironed out. At your request and for a small added shipping fee of $3.00 , canvases can be mailed in a shipping tube . Please request a tube and invoice before paying . Packaging ~ Canvases will be shipped in a Manila envelope. To help prevent a hard fold, the canvas will have a rolled piece of Corrugated Cardboard attached to the canvas. ~ If you would like your canvas shipped in a Tube , please request BEFORE paying and I will send you another invoice. $3.00 will be added to the shipping charge to cover the Tube and extra shipping weight. ~ Larger canvases will be shipped in a Tube. Those should be clearly labeled with the extra shipping charge already added. ~ Again, if shipping weight is over 13oz, it will be sent USPS Parcel Select. If over 13oz, I will let you know before I ship to see how I should proceed. I will send you an invoice as soon as I see the request and calculate the totals. Potential problem ? The only potential problem is, while waiting for and paying the invoice, someone else could come in a buy that same item. The first to pay gets the item. The good news is, so far this hasn’t happened here.
