felt the same way! She took these traditional Japanese motifs and updated them for a modern, sophisticated look. This collaboration with Katie Bartz, who digitized the designs are available as .JEF, .DST, .EXP, .PES, .VIP, and .VP3 embroidery files and as printable templates to follow using the stitches on your sewing machine, these 40 designs can work on a variety of projects!
Message from Kimberly:
I was inspired by the big stitch mending and
embellishing which are all the rage in needlecraft
and garment repurposing these days! In addition,
I’ve always enjoyed doing Sashiko stitching by
hand. So when I realized I could achieve this style
using in-the-hoop Sashiko-style designs on my
embroidery machine, I was thrilled! I combined
all these elements with my love of traditional
quilt blocks to create designs that give a nod
to traditional styles with a fresh, modern twist!
